Treatment Approaches

Treatment Approaches

Dr Daniel Bowen’s approach is empathetic, person-centred, interactive, collaborative, respectful, research- and science-based, and is designed to treat mental illness, relieve distress, restore and enhance functioning, and prevent relapse. Daniel also has a particular interest in identifying strengths, and building resilience and emotional intelligence.

Daniel strives to deliver an exceptional level of support and care to his clients. His aim is to empower his clients with the necessary tools to make positive change in their lives and to create successful outcomes.

Daniel initially joins with clients in the process of developing an in-depth understanding of presenting difficulties, current motivations for change, and desired outomes. Daniel works with each client to facilitate the development of a meaningful personal journey that reflects each individual's cultural and developmental history, and current life circumstances.

Daniel draws from a number of theoretical approaches, and typically adopts an eclectic approach to therapy. Often times the best outcome for a client is achieved through the implementation of a combined therapeutic intervention which targets the specific presenting issues.

Daniel is an accreditted EMDR and Brainspotting practitioner.
