What to Bring?

First Appointment - What to Bring?

If you have been referred by your doctor or another care provider, please bring along any referral paperwork.

Mental Health Treatment Plan

If you have been referred by your GP under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, you are able to access a significant Medicare rebate for up to ten consultations per calendar year. Your psychologist will need to include details from this referral and plan in your invoice for Medicare, so it is important to bring both the referral and the Mental Health Treatment Plan with you on your first visit.

WorkCover or Third Party Insurance

When making the appointment, please inform us that you wish to be seen under WorkCover. We will require approval for Psychology Assessment/Treatment prior to your first appointment.

No Referral

If you would like to see a psychologist as a private client, that is, without a referral, you need not worry about any paper work at all. In some cases you may be able to claim a rebate from private health insurance.

Please don’t hesitate to contact Dubbo Psychologist if you are unsure what to bring, or would like further information about any of the above options.
